Erasmus+ Projects: Support to applications

Here you can find news about the different types of funding and useful information for the preparation of proposals in its Institutional component.

The primary goal  is to allow organisations to increase the quality and relevance of their activities, to develop and reinforce their networks of partners, to increase their capacity to operate jointly at transnational level, boosting internationalisation of their activities, and through exchanging or developing new practices and methods as well as sharing and confronting ideas.

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM)

(Erasmus Mundus Action – Lot 1)

EMJM

This action aims at fostering excellence and world-wide internationalisation of higher education institutions via study programmes – at master course level – jointly delivered and jointly recognised by higher education institutions established in Europe, and open to institutions in other countries of the world.

Duration:

6 academic years, at least 4 intakes

The Max. contribution:

  • Institutional costs –  750 Euros/month x DR (master duration) x NRES (enrolled students, up to 100)
  • Student scholarships – 1400 Euros/month x DR  (master duration) x NRS (students with scholarships, up to 60)

Min. no. beneficiaries:

3 full partner HEIs from 3 different countries, of which at least 2 from Programme Countries.

EMJM
Erasmus Mundus Design Measures (EMDM)

(Erasmus Mundus Action – Lot 2)

EMDM‘s  main objective is to encourage the development of new, innovative and highly integrated transnational Master programmes  facilitating the setting-up of new partnerships and/or  thematic areas that are under-represented in Erasmus Mundus.

This new action contributes to the costs of collaboration activities to design and set up joint programmes.

 Duration:

15 months

The Max. contribution: single lump sum contribution of 55.000 Euros

Min. no. beneficiaries: 1 beneficiary mobilizing a group of at least 3 full partner HEIs from three different countries, of which at least 2 must be Programme Countries.

EMDM
Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE)

Strand 2

CBHE action supports international cooperation projects based on multilateral partnerships between organisations active in the field of higher education.

Strand 2. Partnerships for transformation in higher education have this objectives:
1. Innovation with business involvement to maximize societal impact
2. Modernizing HEIs by promoting reform
3. Introducing practical learning schemes with a link to business
4. Implementation of new learning methods
5. Innovative curricula linked to business
6. Introducing practical learning schemes
7. Reform governance and management at HEIs

The Max. contribution: St1: 200,000-400,000 EUR

Min. no. beneficiaries:

  1. 1.National projects addressing only one third country not associated to the Erasmus+
    programme)
  2. Country participation
    One eligible third country not associated to the programme and a minimum two EU Member
    states or countries associated to the programme must be involved in the project.
  3. HEI participation
    Projects must include, as full partners, the minimum number of HEIs, as follows:
    *Minimum 1 HEI from each participating EU Member state or third country associated to
    the programme, and
    *Minimum 2 HEIs from the participating third country not associated to the programme.
  4. 2. Multi-country projects addressing two or more third countries not associated to the
    Erasmus + programme

Country participation
Minimum two eligible third countries not associated to the Programme and minimum two EU
Member states or countries associated to the Programme must be involved in the project.
Third countries not associated to the programme can be from the same Region (regional
projects) or from different Regions (cross-regional projects) covered by the Action.

HEI participation
These projects must include, as full partners, the minimum number of HEIs, as follows:
*Minimum 1 HEI from each participating EU Member state or third country associated to
the Erasmus + Erasmus + programme, and
*Minimum 2 HEIs from each of the participating third countries not associated to the
Erasmus+ programme.
