Welcoming the new Erasmus Mundus MathsDisc cohort at Técnico!
Last Friday, Instituto Superior Técnico proudly hosted the welcome session for the new cohort of international students of the Erasmus Mundus Master’s Programme MathsDisc.
The event gathered students from across Europe and beyond, alongside academic staff involved in the programme. It provided an opportunity to:
- Introduce students to the Técnico community
- Present the academic structure of the programme
- Foster a first sense of belonging within the MathsDisc network
This year’s cohort brings together a vibrant mix of backgrounds and perspectives, further strengthening the international spirit and collaborative ethos of MathsDisc.

About MathsDisc:
The Erasmus Mundus Master’s Programme MathsDisc is a two-year, 120 ECTS international double degree programme offering eight specialisations in areas such as Computational Intelligence, Computational Finance, Biomedicine, Logistics, Energy, and Agriculture. The programme equips students with advanced skills in mathematical modelling, simulation, and data science, preparing them to tackle pressing industrial and societal challenges.
