International Collaboration with Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT)
On October 20, 2023, Instituto Superior Técnico (University of Lisbon) welcomed a distinguished delegation from the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), a prestigious university located in Beijing, China.
This visit marked an important milestone in the ongoing cooperation between our institutions, as BIT was the very first partner of IST with a Memorandum of Understanding signed in China in 2008.
Representatives from the Departments of Mathematics, Electrical and Computer Engineering , alongside from the Center of Computational and Stochastic Mathematics (CEMAT), gathered to discuss the potential for future collaborations.
This targeted alliance is poised to yield revolutionary developments in these fields, fostering innovation and propelling global progress.
