Applications for the 1st semester of the 2025/2026 academic year (September 2025 to February 2026)

Important Information
- Applicants must choose the majority of courses (>50%), not ECTS (credits), in selected Undergraduate/Master degree at Técnico or their application will be rejected
- “Bologna Degree…” – 1st Cycle – 1st to 3rd year – classes in Portuguese
- “Bologna/Integrated Master Degree…” – 2nd Cycle – 4th and 5th year – classes in English
- Candidates cannot change Undergraduate/Master Degrees after starting the Boarding process (Phase 3)
- Courses must be selected according to the corresponding semester:
1st semester – “Sem. 1” (whole semester), “P 1” (first quarter) and “P 2” (second quarter)
2nd semester – “Sem. 2” (whole semester), “P 3” (third quarter) and “P 4” (fourth quarter) - We do not recommend more than 30 ECTS per semester, but you can select a maximum of 36 ECTS
- Outside Europe/SMILE students do not need to choose 30 ECTS, only the ECTS required by their University
- Minor courses are not available in exchange programmes, only in Double Degrees (another application process)
- Courses with “Iseg” at the end of the name could be taught in Portuguese and on a different ULisboa campus
- Only Architecture students can choose Architecture courses and only in the 4th & 5th year
Documents Required for Application:
- Passport (non European citizens) or a European citizen card
- Identification photo for your Fénix profile
- Official Transcript of Records
- English B2 Level – any Official Language Certificate, Official Declaration from the University of Origin or digital certificates from Duolingo and EFSET are also accepted
- Portuguese B2 Level – if you wish to attend 1st cycle classes (1st to 3rd year) and are not a native speaker, you must present an Official Language Certificate or Official Declaration from the University of Origin
Learning Agreement
- Erasmus: you can use your university’s model or this one.
- Outside Europe/SMILE: you will receive an email after initiating your Boarding (Phase 3)
