ATHENS Program

The ATHENS Network is made up of 15 leading European technological universities. The Network organises intensive short-duration courses at each member institution. The programme includes a compulsory cultural weekend, before the beginning of the courses. The courses take place twice a year, in March and November.

The ATHENS week permits participants from different institutions to take short courses of a high scientific level and to mix with students of different nationalities and backgrounds. About 60 courses are offered at each ATHENS Session and cover a wide range of thematic, from engineering to social sciences. The objective is to give students a brief immersion in another European education system.

European Dimension activities

European Dimension activities at Técnico are organized by our Student Support Unit (NAPE). After being accepted at our institution you are contacted by them with all the details, as well as an invitation to a group where you can start contacting other colleagues who will come to our institution in that session.

For each session we publish in the program’s “vital message” a list of hostels within walking distance of Técnico. Students are responsible for booking their stay.
